Inter – Firms' Swimming

Scorning bleak conditions and heavy showers of rain, contestants set out to enjoy an unusual swimming carnival in the Municipal Pool. The occasion was the inter-firms' swimming sports and they were a tremendous success. Highlight of the meeting, for spectators and contestants alike, was the greasy pole beltemup contest.

Nancy Nyberg (Nurses), pitted on the greasy pole against some bullying male, withstood his attacks until help arrived (right) and she was awarded the title.
