Nelsonians Serving Abroad

In last month's issue we covered the concert to aid Judy Beere to serve with Volunteer Service Abroad in Western Samoa. Since that time we have had news of three other Nelsonians serving in humanitarian fields. Two of them, Pauline Meikie and Mary Oliver, are with Voiunteer Service Abroad, and the other, Bernadette Teece, is with Project Concern, In Hong Kong. That's Bernadette, at top left, with one of her Chinese charges. Above is a view taken from the Project Concern clinic, a floating one, and at left is a view of the boat. Bernadette lost almost all her possessions when the clinic was burned out during overhaul (this coincided with the rioting in Hong Kong. She's to come home in October. Bernadette is the daughter of Mr and Mrs C. M. Teece, Harakeke.
