Regimental Reunion

The disbanding of the old Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment brought to an end a very colourful period in the history of this regiment. But there were many old members who still retained vivid memories of the regiment, at home and overseas, and they flocked to Nelson earlier this month to participate in their first reunion. The regiment is now incorporated in the 2nd R.N.Z.I.R. About 400 attended the reunion, and as part of the celebrations they were given a demonstration of new weapons and attacking techniques at the Seabourne Range.
