Takaka Rugby Club's New Social Room
The climax to weeks of voluntary labour by members of the Takaka Rugby Club was the unveiling of a plaque and the opening of new social rooms for the club under the grandstand on the Takaka Recreation Ground. The official function was attended by more than 200 guests from Murchison, Motueka and Collingwood. A great example of what self help can do. (Pix by C. R. Papps)
