Workmen on the first stages of the painting of the ironwork around the direction finder that has been erected at the top of Princes drive on the Port Hills. The indicator originated from a bequest from the Hon. Elliot Davis, but when this was found impracticable, Sir Ernest Davis offered Nelson a suitable memorial to the family of Moss Davis. On the centre pillar will be placed a ceramic indicator plate made in London. It gives directions to places within the province and to larger cities of world.
