Here's a sight to gladden the heart of any hunter - 500 lbs of pig no longer on the hoof. This was the day's bag for Brian and Richard Rickets (seen here) and another hunter, George Dobson. The monster in front weighed out at 245 lbs and the other five at 255. Nice going, boys.

The petrol tanks and pumping equipment at Nelson Airport, once used by S. P. A. N. Z., received a cleanout recently preparatory to bringing them into use again.

Horses from the Wingatui stables of E. Stapleton received a freshen up when they arrived in Nelson for the races last month. A paddle in the water and a roll in the sand were highly appreciated.
