Nelson College Sporting Snippets

On the Monday after the annual athletic sports of Nelson College were held, the big sports day (as far as the boys were concerned) was staged. On this day the individuals became members of teams, running not for themselves but for the points their houses would gain. And the excitement of it all! Especially since this year the house championship depended on the last event on the programme, the senior relay. As it turned out, two houses shared the honour - Fell and Rutherford. It was that close.
