Tales Of The Sea

A random collection of pix, most of them with a fishy flavour, collected during our travels this month.

Leslie Holland and a couple of cobbers landed this 18 lb snapper "somewhere near Monaco". That's a lot of fish.

Bernard Pahl (at left) and Arthur Coventry, of 15 Rawhiti Street, (below), landed these two fish while fishing around Rocks Road, within a day or two of each other. There must be fish there.

"Death traps" was the expression used by Charlie Holland to describe this selection of home-made "boats" washed up on the beach near his home at Monaco. He exhorted the parents of any children who had ideas of putting to sea in such craft, to "put the axe through them".
