Realignment and reconstruction of the main road from Tahuna to Annesbrook is progressing well. All the poplars on the eastern side of the road have been removed and the piping of the drain has resulted in a fine, wide road.

A bottleneck on the Motueka state highway at Appleby la being broken with the building of a new bridge. This could well be the forerunner to a wider highway on this section of the road.
