School Swimming Sports
Nelson secondary and primary schools took to the water last month-or. so it seemed to us. Scarcely a day went by that we weren't called out to cover a swimming sports meeting at one of the schools. Unfortunately, we weren't able to attend primary school meetings, but we did manage to cover the inter-primary schools' tournament at the Municipal Pool.

Contestants in the through-the-tube race at the Nayland College sports had lots of fun.
The numbers sitting on the bank compared with the numbers of those swimming, was pointed out by the Nayland College head, Mr W. Kane, during the meeting.
