Kindy's In - For Teachers

The children took over the teaching and the teachers became the learners at a special course held at the Tahunanui Free Kindergarten last month. Play centre supervisors and kindergarten teachers from many parts of Nelson attended the course, designed to exchange teaching ideas.

Watching the activities of a youngster are Elizabeth Valentine, Phillipa Vine and Pat Bailey (all of Atawhai Play Centre), Margaret Andrew (Richmond kindy), Judy Tester and Janice Taylor (both Tahuna).

Simon Sinclair has Margaret Andrew and Elsie Jarvis (Grove Street kindy) interested in his project.

Tony Eyre looks delighted with the results of his labours as he displays them to Lois Heath (Stoke kindy) and to Heather Mclntyre.

The activities of David Smith and Steven Rollo with their straws and coloured water claim the attention of Elaine Reid (Nelson South kindy), Judy Tester and Sue Kennedy (Nelson South).
