The plight of children overseas has not escaped the notice of a group of children at Stoke. The junior section of the Stoke Save The Children Fund decided to raise their own money for their big cause. So, during the year they've met regularly to make all kinds of things for sale. And here we have them at the sale which brought them, with subs and donations, £16 15s 8½d. The group is, back, Shirley Meikle, Ann Williams, Diane Burton, Judith Pauling; front, Anne Barton, Helen Briggs, Helen Hunt, Ruth Toomer, Margaret Nolan, Karen Howard and Louise Bennetts. At the left, a keen demand was evident for the goods.
