Victory School's New Library

Through the foresight of their headmaster and the voluntary assistance given by parents, children at Victory School have their own library – one of the few possessed by primary schools throughout New Zealand. The library was once the Matakitaki Valley school. When it became known this was disused, Mr S. P. K. Chatterton, headmaster at Victory School, was given permission to uplift it and re-erect it in Nelson. This was accomplished over 18 months and the re-erection and furnishing of the library was accomplished last month.
