Primary school rugby

The thirty-third annual Rugby tournament for primary schoolboys in the Seddon Shield districts was held in Nelson during the school vacation. The tournament honours were shared by Buller and West Coast for the second successive year. Each had three wins and a loss. Marlborough scored 5 points (two wins and a draw). Nelson had a win and a draw in its first two games, but was beaten in the last two games.
