Extensive alterations to the Star and Garter Hotel, Richmond, are at present being carried out. The main bar is being enlarged to a total floor space of about 450 sq ft (at right of pic) and a new lounge bar is being built at the rear of the premises (left of pic). The total cost of these improvements is about £10,000.

Lots of activity in Trafalgar Street in the last month. Old paving stones that have provided the kerbing on each side of the street between Hardy and Bridge streets have been uprooted and new kerbing and channelling laid.

Back to Richmond where the old premises of Rogers Garage are being replaced by three new shops at present under construction.
