The End Of An Era

It's always a sad occasion when an old identity or building steeped in history passes, but there wasn't much sadness about on the evening of June 30 at Foxhill when the old Foxhill pub shut its doors for the last time. There was general regret among the locals that the old hotel which has catered for the travelling public and the farming community for well over 100 years was closing, but at the same time it was rather a festive occasion. The proprietors, Mr and Mrs R. L. Heath, will take over the Belgrove Hotel, at present being modernised.
