Radio "Hams" In Nelson

The 40th convention of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters drew radio "hams" from all parts of the Dominion to Nelson. The local association drew congratulations from many attending the convention for the efficient manner in which the convention was organised and for the programme arranged. To ensure that everyone was able to find the conference centre, caravans placed at Stoke and at "Walter's Bluff" were manned and these were in radio touch with headquarters.

Always a popular occasion at every convention is the auction of radio bits and pieces (one "bit", a transmitter, was passed in at £500)
