Richmond Four Win Bowls Title

In the semi-final of the Nelson Easter bowling tournament, George MacGregor's four beat the Stoke four of R. Woodhouse 14-13 (a single on the last end). But there was nothing narrow about MacGregor's victory over Frank Perrone's four in the final. MacGregor took an early lead and although Perrone drew level after the sixth end, MacGregor steadily drew away to win 23-14 with one end unplayed. The tournament was again we11-supported by bowlers from outside the province.
