Axemen's Carnival

One of the really big successes of the holiday carnival season in Nelson was the axemen's carnival organised by the Nelson Bushcraft Club at the Richmond showgrounds. Axemen from all parts of New Zealand competed for big money prizes and some magnificent trophies, and the organisation of the carnival was top rate.
