Completing the roofing of the new additions to the Nelson Freezing Company's works has been made much easier by the new giant mobile crane of C. Gibbons Ltd. The crane, at 80ft high, is the biggest in the district and was imported by the firm especially for very high work.

It was a hot day, and Mrs Anne Westrupp, of Stoke, felt like an ice cream. And so did her peke, Toby, and he was prepared to beg for it, too.

Another of the big list of service stations in the district which have received a face lift recently is this one at the corner of Grove and Milton streets. In this instance, however, the old building, plus a house on an adjoining property, was removed to make way for this new building.
