For the second year running Paddy Francois and Jack Inglis (Riwaka) won the Rothman's Golf Cup in the tournament at Motueka. Runners-up were Ken Lane and Selwyn England (Motueka). (John R. Sharp).
Visiting relatives in Nelson last month was Mr Lew Taylor who has a possible claim to world fame. Mr Taylor, who is now 88, served with the Christchurch Press Company for 69/½ years - a tremendous achievement.
Mrs E. A. Ross, who had her 90th birthday recently, with her great-grandson Christopher Ross, her grandson Brian, and her son Stan, of 6 Tainui Street, Stoke, in this four generations picture.
