"Surfie Stomp"

It seemed particularly appropriate that one of Nelson's major attractions - its beaches - should be the theme of the Y.M.C.A.'s 1965 Gym Frolics production. "Surfie Stomp" certainly had a nautical air about it and since the sea has provided unlimited scope for sons and music writers, there was no lack of background music of the proper kind for the many dances, routines and exercises performed. Another first-class production by the Y.M. and, in particular, by Jack Hanna, who puts his heart and soul into every show he undertakes.
