Rotarians Confer

Rotarians in District 298 (South Island) left Nelson after their three-day conference with a lot to think about. Sated with apples, song, good fellowship and the exhortations of Ed Meir-bachtol to be even better Rotarians, the 400 delegates and their wives voted the conference a rousing success. Mr Meirbachtol, acting as the representative of the president of Rotary International, Mr J. E. McLaughlin, and his wife, impressed as a very friendly and charming couple, and his addresses, liberally laced with amusing little stories, kept his audience enthralled.
