Australian Women cricketers

The touring Australian women's cricket team had little difficulty in accounting for the Nelson women's representative team in a one-day match. Nelson mustered only 142 runs in two innings in reply to the Australians' total of 169 for one wicket declared. The Nelson team (above) was: Back, Nancy Ricketts, Cynthia Smith, Norma Bennett, Kathleen Bennett, Janet Wilkins, Audrey Eden.
