Miss Harvest Festival 1961

Motueka can be justly proud of its tobacco, hops, fruit and Seddon Shield team, and judging by this pic by John Sharp of the place-getters in the Miss Harvest Fiesta beauty contest, its residents don't have to keep quiet when the talking point is beauty. Winner of the contest (centre) is Claire Roberts, At left is Carolyn Hunt (one of our cover girls in February) who was second and Eunice Gayland, all the way from Queensland, was third.
