In Case Of Emergency

It is not beyond the realms of possibility that one day a major fire might occur among the oil and petrol tanks at Port Nelson, so to ascertain if the facilities of the Nelson Fire Brigade were adequate to cope with such a blaze, the brigade staged experimental demonstrations at the installations recently. The Chief Fire Officer, Mr Hec Oliver, was not very happy about the situation after he had seen the demonstrations, and he is to approach the Oil Industries Board in an endeavour to have some assistance in the way of equipment provided for the installations.
