Highland Ball

The skirl of the pipes and the beat of the drums resounded throughout the Stoke Hall last month as the City of Nelson Highland Pipe Band marched to the stage to open the band's 1965 ball. Smaller attendances marked this year's ball, but there was nothing small about the evident enjoyment of its patrons.
