Parking Problems

Parking in Nelson has been in the news lately, but parking is no new problem. The City Council has been investigating for some considerable time ways of creating and enlarging parking areas. One of its proposals is to buy land in the heart of the city for the erection of multi-storey parking buildings and at the present moment it is negotiating with owners of land in an area bounded by Hardy, Alma, Bridge, and Trafalgar streets and land in the close vicinity of Montgomery's Garage, with a view to buying.
