Hootenanny Gals return
The Enner Glynn entrants in the South Island-wide housewives' hootenanny returned from the finals to Nelson with the first prize of £105 in their pockets. The cheque was handed over to the Home and School Association at a function at the. school, at which time the group went through its paces for the benefit of a large audience.

Mrs Dorothy Tilley, an original member of the group who was unable to travel because of illness.
Mrs Best hands the cheque over to Mr Ian Bagley, chairman of the Home and School Association.
