Ranson–allan. The last Nelson wedding the Bishop of Nelson, the Right Reverend F. O. Hulme-Moir, performed, was at the Chapel of the Holy Evangelist, Bishopdale, when he officiated at the marriage of Jocelyn Fay, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. F. Allan, 30 Alfred street, Nelson, to Antony Edward, son of the late Mr and Mrs F. R. Ranson, Brisbane, Australia. They were attended by Eric Pringle, Brisbane, and Diane Malcoyronne, Auckland, Flower-girls were Charlotte and Andrea Cocks of Christchurch, and Rosemary Allan of Auckland, all nieces of the bride. Widdon–turner. At the Presbyterian Church, Motueka, Sylvia, daughter of Mr and Mrs D. Turner, Queensland, Australia, to Rodney, son of Mr and the late Mrs L. Widdon, High Street, Motueka. Attendants were Roger Drummond, best man, Jan (matron of honour) and Pamela Drummond, and Christopher Widdon, brother of the groom. Betty Ingram was junior maid. All were from Motueka.
