The Aurora Sailing Club chose a difficult day for fathers to try their skill in their sons' Takapunas on Port Nelson. A strong southerly wind enforced ceaseless tacking on the journey down harbour and an incoming tide didn't help matters any. Only one boat, sailed by Ian McConchie, finished, although the two (above) were going quite well when we last sighted them.
