The Gold Prospector

A Londoner, Mr J. Darby, came all the way from England to pan 24s worth of gold from the Anatoki River. And it didn't cost him a penny. Mr Darby did not want to pan gold, but when he won a television quiz he was handed the pan, and a string of tickets to New Zealand with the injunction to "pan yourself some gold". And that's what he did. He was accompanied round New Zealand by a member of the National Film Unit, who recorded his experiences for a television film in England.
