Trawler Capsizes

No doubt about it - Des King-Turner's had his share of bad luck lately. The latest blow came when his trawler, the Loch Maree, overturned when 2½ miles out to sea and off Cable Bay. On board were 40 cases of scallops - by far his best haul for some time. They followed anchors and other gear down to the bottom. Luckily, Des and his offsider, Charlie Somerville, were seen and picked up, and his boat was towed back to Nelson. It suffered slight damage in the tow and the interior of the boat will have to be stripped down and cleaned.
