Wedding Bells

A double wedding in which two sisters were married, was celebrated at the Presbyterian Church, Upper Moutere, recently. The brides were Beverley Anne (left), and Athalie Beth, daughters of Mr and Mrs G.H.Sixtus, Mahana Road, Upper Moutere. They married Donald Wilfred Roberts, son of Mrs A.J. and the late Mr R.I. Roberts, 8 Salisbury Road, Richmond, and Ian Graham Gill, son of Mr and Mrs L.H.Gill, Nayland Road, Stoke, respectively. Beverley and Donald were attended by Leslie and Lucy Roberts, both of Richmond and brother and sister respectively of the groom, while Ian and Athalie were attended by Rhonda Boyce, Lower Moutere, cousin of the brides, and Noel Frater, Richmond, Beverley and Donald will make their future home in Nelson, while Ian and Athalie will live in Richmond. Attendants were Peter Borcovsky, Murchison, cousin of the groom, Annette Galletly, Nelson, sister of the bride, Ray Borcovsky, Murchison, brother of the groom, best man, and Jeanette Wadsworth, Tapawera, chief maid.
