Indoor Basketball

Nelson was unbeaten in both the men's and women's sections of the Nelson provincial B-grade championships at a tourney in the Y.M.C A.stadium. The only teams to offer Nelson any real competition was Motueka in the men's and women's sections. In each of these cases Nelson was able to win by only six and five goals respectively. Other teams taking part were Aorere (Collingwood) and Takaka.
