On the beautiful golden sands of Kaiteriteri Beach we found two pretty girls who helped to make the scenery even more attractive. We couldn't let such an opportunity slip by, so we unhitched the camera and here they are, Pamela Fraser (left) and Carolyn Hunt, both of Motueka.

This is an historic picture, in a sense. It was taken at the marching championships of the Nelson association at Trafalgar Park, the first occasion on which all the competing teams were in proper uniform as distinct from sweaters and skirts. The latest team to get its new uniform is Tamerlanes, and here, Marl-ene Shea, back row left, displays the very smart green and white uniform.
