When the new school year began at Nelson College a few days ago, three faces, familiar for many years, were missing. They were those of Messrs J. W. Russell, J. E. R. Paterson and C. G. Kirk, all of whom retired at the end of last year. Old boys then honoured them with presentations. Mr Russell received a pair of easy chairs, Mr Paterson a radiogram and Mr Kirk a canteen of cutlery.
