Sailing Season Opens
Excellent conditions favoured the Aurora Sailing Club for the official opening of its season. A moderate breeze, little chop in the harbour and warm sunshine combined to make this the best opening for several years. Sixty boats competed in opening day races.

In line astern, Ian Johnsen's R Class follows the two Finns of Wayne Lucas and Roy Talbot.
An ingnominious end of the race for Rainbow, high and nearly dry on a sand-bank, and a falling tide. And there she stayed till the next tide.
