Red Cross Centenary

Seldom can one pick up a book dealing with the Second World War, and particularly those concerning prisoner-of-war camps, without finding references to the Red Cross. How often have members of this world-wide organisation been blessed by the millions who have been helped by the humanitarian work they do, in peace and war. We felt we couldn't let the centenary of this wonderful organisation pass without some tribute to the workers who make up the Red Cross and we have attempted to do so on this page. The Pics above and at right were taken during a recent meeting of the Nelson centre at which long service awards were presented by the president, Dr K. M. Emanuel.
