A Hypnotic Laugh

Hypnosis, as master hypnotist Janus Vroegryk pointed out to a very large audience in the Theatre Royal, is used extensively in medical fields today. He then went on to prove that it can also provide mirth, in large quantities. During the evening he had a group of volunteers cutting all sorts of capers on the stage (including his assistant who appeared particularly receptive to the hypnotic influence of Janus). Several asked to be cured of smoking and under hypnosis they were told they would not smoke again if they had a genuine desire, at the time of hypnosis, to give up smoking. We have since learned that one of these has had no further desire to smoke.
