Hutt Beaten for Nordon Cup

Nelson retained the Nordon Cup by beating Hutt Valley 5-1 after a dazzling display of hockey earlier last month, but later succumbed to Hamilton who won the trophy by outplaying Nelson to the tune of 3-2. The pictures on this page were of the Hutt Valley match. In this game Hutt found difficulty in countering the combination of Allan Paris, who scored three fine goals, Dick Bennett, who scored the other two, and centre half R. Carter, whose backing up and trapping thwarted many Hutt attacking movements.
