Sporting Round-up Wellington Wins Socoer

Wellington proved too slick and fast a combination for Nelson when the two teams met at Greenmeadows. Wellington led 4-1 at half-time and seemed certain to double this score, but in the second half, stubborn Nelson defence prevented Wellington from scoring more than 2 goals and Nelson itself scored another. Sot the side went down 6-2, but it was far from disgraced, for Wellington had an extremely strong side to put into the field. Had it not been for the magnificent play of Bill Milne in goal for Nelson, Wellington may well have doubled its final score. We have him here in a sequence of three shots - two saves and a miss.
