Six Gliders Over Nelson

Gliders over Nelson are no novelty, but not until last month had Nelsonians the opportunity of seeing six in the air at one' time. This occurred at a rally held at the airport. Gliders from the Hutt Valley, Christchurch and Marlborough attended. The weather was perfect and the rally such a tremendous success that it is likely to be repeated in future winters.

The Hutt. Valley machines were brought across the strait in trailers on board the Towai, from which one is being landed here.
