Nurses Have a Ball

Seventeen nurses, finalists at Nelson Public Hospital, were presented to Mrs O. L. Haldane, at the annual nurses' ball at the Memorial Hall at Stoke, Before the ball, finalists and their partners were entertained at a cocktail party in the Cafe Continental and it was there that we took these photographs. The hall itself was decorated to suit the occasion with a series of drawings depicting one aspect of life in the hospital, These were beautifully done and caused tremendous amusement.
