The Awapuni-trained Grand Coeur won the £1000 Nelson Cup race in his first start in open company at the Nelson Jockey Club's annual meeting at Richmond Park. The race itself was a close one, with Grand Coeur coming: home to win by three-quarters of a length from a field well-bunched.
