Maritime Exhibition

One of the most comprehensive collections of maritime exhibits, models, equipment and photographs over assembled in New Zealand was displayed in the Sports Hall last month. The Iron Duke Sea Scouts who organised the exhibition are to be congratulated on the magnificence and the variety of the display.

An "animated" sea lent reality to this display of model sailing ships

This model of the old Waimea's port engine was made entirely of wood 55 years ago by the late Mr Peter Thomson as an instructional model.
