Nelson Retains Nordon Cup

Taranaki, Nelson's first challenger for the Nordon Cup this season, was heavily repulsed. Nelson won 11-3 on a heavy ground. For a time there was little between the two teams, but in the closing stages Nelson made an all out effort and added a further five goals to its tally. Two weeks later Nelson again successfully defended the trophy by beating Ashburton 2-1 in atrocious conditions. These pix are of the Taranaki game.
