"Tom Jones"
A particularly pleasing performance of Edward German's light opera, "Tom Jones", was given by the Civic Choir in the School of Music last month. Under the baton of George Wilkinson the choir enthralled a near-capacity house with the lilting melodies which abound in German's works. In this view the soloist (standing) is Joan Kelland (soprano). The other soloists were Ellen Wood (contralto), Kenneth Keenan (baritone) and Reginald Tapley.
