It Pays to be Sure

Hundreds of very wise men and women passed through a big van parked on a lot in Bridge Street last month. It didn't cost them anything, but as a result of the few seconds they spent within it, they bought certainty that they were not unsuspecting tuberculosis sufferers. The van, the Health Department's mobile X-Ray unit, was kept busy during its stay in Nelson and there were few persons walking along Bridge Street who didn't stop and enter the van.
