Schools Re-open And Mothers Relax
For the first few days, the house seems to hold a deathly hush and you wonder. Then you remember again that the little darlings who for the last six weeks have been whooping and hollering round the place have gone back to school. How often during those six weeks did one hear the words: "I'll be glad when the schools reopen." Well, they have, now, and so after the last minute preparations of shopping for uniforms, mending, washing, ironing and ail the rest of the work that goes hand in hand with children - you mothers can relax for a while. All schools in the Nelson district opened with full staffs.
A new school year opens for Clair Hart (Hillerton), at left, and a new experience for Jenny Robb (Maud Island, Pelorous Sound) as they arrive at college hostel. Jenny is attending her first school, all her previous schooling being done by correspondence.
